Tidbits

As most of you already know there was a 9.0 earthquake that hit Asia on Dec. 26th, 2004 causing “tsunami” or tidal waves killing (at the current count) 40,000 people in Asia. Below is a map of the epicenters.

Although we are unable to help in a significant way but we can help with our monetary contributions. I have located a few agencies/organizations that should be safe to donate through.

List of members of Federal Emergency Management Agency that we can donate through

• World Vision or call 1-888-511-6548 - will rush food and Family Survival Kits to Asian countries
• International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies linked from USAID
• American Red Cross
• People in Taiwan can donate through World Vision Taiwan or other organizations in Taiwan.
